Our
Idaho bear hound training runs from the beginning of May through the end of July
with the option of going through the kill season for an additional
cost. We offer the training for one month at a time with a limit of 4
dogs. All dogs must come to us with a clean health record and record of up
to date shots. All dogs must be at least 1 ½ years old in order to come
to our kennel for training. Rockin W Kennels is not responsible for
any dogs that may become injured or killed by a bear. Owners must sign a
waiver agreeing to this. All vet bills are the responsibility of the
owner of the dog.
A deposit of $200 per dog is due at the time of reserving a spot for
your dog. The remaining balance is due when the dog is dropped of for
training. A detailed log of each dog will be provided every time the
dog is released for training. You will receive a DVD of your dog(s) with at least 13 bear trees at the time you pick your dog(s) up. We will give you our honest opinion on
how your dog progressed and what potential your dog may or may not have.
Our pricing is as follows:
• 1 Month Training $400 per dog
• 2 Month Training $700 per dog
• Full Season Training and Kill Season $1,100 per dog (this includes 4 months of training and the
possibility of being on chases where the bear is harvested)
